I love YakiniQ and especially their matcha pie/cake. They have the best matcha ....I just can't get enough of their matcha. Try this matcha drink at Yakiniq. It's a dream..come true. I can't wait to return. Did I say "matcha" enough times...probably not!!! I have to have more matcha, people !!!! (smile...) The picture is from YakiniQ Facebook.

The cutest cafe in San Francisco. Offers a variety of delicious cafe beverages that you cannot find anywhere else. I always enjoy the sweet potato latte, which can be made with or without coffee and your choice of milk. Not too sweet, not too rich, just enough spice and sweet potato to warm your soul. If anything, this should be the drink that catches on during fall and winter weather or whenever the pleasure suis you. The owner is very friendly, and bakes the sweets in-house. I can honestly give the black sesame cookies the highest honor an Asian person can bestow to a baked good - "Not too sweet." The cafe's seating is not yet open to patrons, however, the owner did mention she plans to invite patrons back into the space. Also, do not miss the plants - calatheas. Her calathea orbifolia is the best specimen I've seen outside of plant shops.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time yesterday. We had just finished eating at a local ramen shop named Yamadaya, and we really wanted to top up a great meal with a delicious beverage. We certainly lucked out with YakiniQ Cafe! My wife got the Ginger Latte, which she described as "having the perfect burn you want to get from ginger!" Myself, I ordered the Cortado with Oatmilk. I can not describe it any other way than "the way coffee should always taste." Even my wife, notorious for not liking coffee, said that if she liked coffee, she would pick this drink as her choice. The pumpkin coffee cake was also very delectable for my wife! It was a wonderful experience, and now is a mandatory part of our trips to Japan Town.

Delicious place to grab a quick snack. I had a matcha latte, spam musubi, and some pastries. Delicious and quick and easy.
